Cage Manufacturers

by Hank
(San Diego)

I want to get a corner cage for my new Hahn's Macaw. We are still waiting for the bird but I do not know which cage manufacturer to go with. We have a space approximately 38" w x 31" deep (height won't be an issue). A and E and Prevue cages both make a cage that I like but finding customer reviews has been very difficult. If anyone has some input for us we would appreciate it.

A&E or Prevue cage?
by: Tracie

My apology to the person that posted something about a bird cage and I deleted it before thinking. It appears that this person is just comparing the two cages, and this is an old post so probably has already purchased a cage.

A&E cages safe
by: Tracie

I have personal experience with A&E and can say that they stand behind their product, and that they test their paint every year here in the U.S.

Just make sure if you purchase a powder coated cage that they test the paint here in the US. Stainless is a safer option, but very expensive. Even the smallest cage is about $1,000 in stainless.

The closest cage we have to that size is either the 36 x 28 or the 40 x 30 cages in the A&E brand.
