Calcium in budgies

by Alex

Due to being currently being unemployed, I cannot afford the bdgie pellets advertised on this site. So until I become employed (near future) I am having to feed my budgies fruit and vegetables (all checked for safety).

Until I can afford pellets, I was wondering if you could provide the names of some budgie safe fruit and vegetables that contain calcium as they don't use the cuttlebone.

I will use your "switching budgies to pellets" guide once I gain enough income to purchase them.

I appreciate your time, and thank you.

Kale greens,, collard greens (generally dark leafy greens), broccoli, celery, turnip greens, rocket. All 100% safe. Budgies aren't natural fruit eaters in the wild. They eat greens, seedy things & grasses so if you give too much fruit he'll become a little fatty.
