I'm a new bird owner , I just bought a Green Cheek Conure about two weeks ago , she is about 3 months old... she is a pleasure to have , she eats well , seeds & fruits & veggies . Talks ( chirps ) quite alot....just noticed that when she was on my shirt and finger that she felt warm , and that I could feel her warm feet on me .....Can they get a fever & should I get that checked out ? thanks from the " new " Mom ...........Darlene

Normal body temperature of birds
by: The Vet

Birds have a body temperature of 105 degrees. The warmth is normal. However, you should have her examined on a regular basis, annually, and have her vaccinated for polyomavirus. In addition, get her to eat pellets. The best is Harrison's. This should be 80% of her diet.

Bird with warm feet
by: Tracie

If the bird is acting well and eating well, then it is probably fine. Our birds have warm feet too.

It is a good idea to take your bird to an avian vet anyway for a well check up. Your bird should see a vet once a year and when you first get the bird you will want to get it vaccinated too.
