CANARY My canary is flicking snot/spit.

He is really unhappy. After an hour he livens up but it seems to be getting worse and its like he has a cold.

He has spit sometimes clear & white-(ish) it goes and comes back later on. But its norm. when he gets up of a morning. Please help as Vets etc. havent really got a clue. He is on his own but happy enough. Could it be mites ? Thanks for your help.

You need to get to an Avian Vet as sounds like your little chap is ill.
Don't be falled into thinking it's OK if it acts OK every now & then as birds are very good at hiding illnesses

You will need to Find an Avian Vet who is willing to run tests to determine what is causing your bird to have these symptoms. No avian vet can diagnose over the internet or in person without running tests.

If you took your bird to a dog/cat vet, then look for an avian vet that has training and experience with birds.
