chicken beak

by tracey
(queensland australia)

our chooks bottom beak isn't opening normally. she is an older chicken and when on hols we had a chook taken by a dog or fox, so we are not sure if she has had a fright and caught it on something. we took her to the vet and he said it was not broken. we are giving her mushed up pellets but not sure if she is getting enough to eat. she doesn't look weak or tired. her bottom beak is also slightly misaligned to her top beak, this is also new. hope you can enlighten us.

Chicken beak problem

You will need to Find an Avian Vet to look at your bird in person. Dr B can not help your bird without examining it. I hope everything turns out okay.
