Clenching it's toes

by Vanessa C.

My parakeet clenches it's toes together constantly and always falls off the bar and when walking slides. It also doesn't catch its self when it lands. Please help.

Bird falling from perches
by: Tracie

Please Find an Avian Vet to examine your bird soon. There are many things that could be wrong, and only a visit with an avian vet, not a dog/cat vet, will determine what is wrong and what treatment your bird needs.

Birds have hollow bones that are easily broken, so move all the perches, food and water bottles down low so the bird doesn't have far to fall until you get the bird to an avian vet.
