Cockatiel beak trimming

Hi I'm worried as I'm taking my 3 1/2 yr old cock cockatiel to the vet's tomorrow morning to see if his beak needs trimming as it seems long. It's worrying me that birds can often die following quite simple vet procedures. Syd is happy and healthy otherwise.
Should I worry so much?

Thanks Jenny

You have no need to worry. It is possible that birds can die from stress of handling, but if you are visiting an experienced avian veterinarian, then things should be fine. My philosophy is the need for medical care outweighs any stress that could occur.
