cockatiel feather color change

our cockatiel's gold face feathers have changed to green twice in the last year. Each time it lasts about two weeks and he is loud and fiesty during that time. He is normally very calm and loving. Is he in heat? Help us we are inexperienced in dealing with birds.

I`m not an expert, but he may have too much vitamin A in his diet - this can cause aggression and a change in color

No not in heat. I suspect that he is eating something that is dying his feathers green.

I have never heard of anything like this. I have asked Dr B to answer this, but it may be a while before he answers it.
