I'm sorry, but if he has left your home, he will not be able to come back. Birds do not know what their homes look like from above, and once tney leave your area, they cannot get back.

You can post some fliers all around your neighborhood so that people can see them, and this can help get him back. He will eventually come down to someone's home as he'll get hungry, and he's always been fed by humans, so he'll land somewhere for food, water and shelter.

The problem with that is he can fly very far away as he has strong wings and a light body. Your search area would have to include a mile or two in all directions, so will be a lot of work. You can also publish a notice in your local newpapers and at animal shelters and such. Your bird is at risk for animal attack while on his own, and most definately disease and parasites, so I wish you good luck with your search.

His wing feathers should have been trimmed because birds able to fly are always at risk for flying away. I am sorry this happened to your bird, and in future, please have an Avian Vet ONLY trim the 4-6 primary flight feathers, which are the long ones at the ends of each wing. This will ensure your next bird does not fly away like this and possibly die out there in the big, cruel world.
