cockatiel with large watery droppings!

by Gemma
(St albans)

My cockatiel sometimes has large droppings, they can also sometimes be watery. But she does eat quite a lot of fruit and veg.
Is this anything to be worried about?
Is she ill?
do i need to take her to the vets?

Bird with watery droppings
by: Tracie

Yes, fruit and watery foods will cause watery droppings. Try feeding the watery foods only in the morning or evening and see if the droppings are normal at the other times.

Also, you should take your bird to an avian vet once a year for a check up. That way if there is something wrong, you will know before things get too bad. Also, the vet is already familiar with your bird if it ever does get sick.
