.Cockatiels blind eye irratation
by: Linda

I cannot figure out why you've not already taken her to an Avian Vet to be diagnosed and treated. Her blindness could have been prevented by a trip to an Avian Vet.

Unless you are waiting for her to die, I strongly suggest to get her to an Avian Vet in your driving area as quickly as possible. This is some kind of infection and only an avian vet can diagnose and treat it. As you can see, waiting has not cured whatever is wrong, so more waiting is only going to kill your bird.

Cockatiel scratching eye until blinded
by: Tracie

Your bird may have an infection, and that is why it keeps scratching the eye. If the bird scratched the eye until it was blinded, it probably had an infection before it blinded itself.

Please Find an Avian Vet to examine and treat your bird before the infection spreads to other parts of it's body and also so your bird can get some relief.

Dr B can not help your bird, because he can't examine the bird, run tests or prescribe medication over the Internet, sorry.
