Cockatiel's Lost Voice

My cockatiel seems to have lost its voice. It tries to scream and can't chirp. What could be the problem?

Your bird probably has a bacterial infection or something else, I don't know. You need to Find an Avian Vet for your bird right away. Only an in person visit with an avian vet will determine what is wrong and what the treatment needs to be.

If your bird drinks from an open dish instead of a Lixit water bottle, then it is likely it is a bacterial infection. You need to change the water every 3 hours if you allow the bird to have an open dish to drink, drop food in, poop in and bathe in.
