Cockatoo panting and shaking
by: The Avian Vet

This is likely sexual behaviors. I recommend that you have your bird looked at by an avian specialist. Find an Avian Vet This could be early warning signs of serious reproductive problems. I recommend x-rays and blood work.

cockatoo panting and shaking?

She needs to be examined by an Avian Vet ONLY right away because this is not normal behavior. The longer you delay having her examined, the worse whatever it is will get. Birds do not "get over" infections or other physical problems, they just get worse until they die.

She could be over stimulated, but I would take her to an avian vet to make sure she is ok. I know cockatoos shake, the females do, in the breeding season when you are cuddling them, but not real sure about the panting part.

I would take her to a certified avian vet for a checkup. Better safe than sorry.
