cockatoo scratching ear

my cockatoo is scratching at her ear area and holding her mouth open while doing it does she have a ear infection or is this ok. she is new to our household so not sure

My bird does this too

My bird just did this! I was scratching her neck and she was really enjoying it and she kept turning her head so that I was scratch her ear and when I started scratching her ear she opens her mouth but doesnt sqwauk. And she's a cockatiel.

Bird scratching ear

There is no way to tell what is wrong with your bird without a physical examination. Please take your bird to see an avian vet for an exam and vaccination. It is likely your bird has something wrong for it to be acting this way.
