Take advice Tracie gave you very seriously because Cockatoos have been known to kill a mate with whom they are fully bonded. If these two are not, then death is in the cards for one or both.
Please get them separated immediately to ensure this does not happen to one of your birds. Keep in mind that Cockatoos are not as easy to breed and keep together as some people think. They can become aggressive toward each other for no apparent reason with extremely dire results. My suggestion is to only allow them together once they start feeding each other through cages or when outside cages for playtime. Always watch these two when together for any reason. The male needs to be with the female only for mating and then removed from her area. This is the safe way to keep Cockatoos from hurting each other.

Cockatoos fighting with each other by: Tracie
You need to separate the birds right away. Keep the birds in separate cages until they decide they want to live together. If they never want to live together, you can't make them.
