Conure chewed off him nails, will ther grow back?

Around Thanksgiving my Jenday Conure hurt his foot, it was only a little chord that got tangled, it didn't do any damage. That night he kept chewing on his front nails on his left foot. The next morning he chewed them completely off and we took him to the vet where they simply made sure it stopped bleeding and told us he will be fine.

It has been over a month and his nails have showed no sign of growth. He doesn't seem as happy either because he won't climb on his toys. Do the nails just take more time or will they even grow back?
