green cheek just died
by: honey

Harley curled up by my next and snuggles. This bird was me. Mt best friend. I woke up this morning to find her body warm but lifeless. I just what her to breath again. Make the noise. I'm so sad.I miss her and I'm scared something I did killed her. I was so careful. She was such a happy little bird.

conure died

Lizards, like other reptiles, can have Salmonella which is a bacterial type disease that kills if not treated right away by an Avian Vet. All reptiles have to be examined by an Avian Vet just like birds do. Avian vets treat reptiles and other exotic animals besides birds.

Salmonella is common with reptiles and if they are in close proximity to a bird, they can and will infect them with the disease. Basically, the lizard would have to touch food or water or get inside cage. Salmonella is a type of bacterial infection that can be spread via food, water, close physical contact and through the feces.

Sorry you little bird died, and you may want to have any other lizards examined for this and same with your birds.

Conure died - no water in dish

Your bird may have died due to not having water, but it may have died due to a disease or illness. You need to take the bird in for a necropsy to determine why it died. The gecko is not the problem.
