Conure wing twitching

I have a Jenday conure, today I noticed he seems to be twitching his right wing every few seconds. He also seems unsteady on his feet when he is climbing around his cage. I also noticed that he has loose stools. He is also fluffing up and bobbing more than usual. However he is eating quite well and drinking as normal. His vocals are normal as well. The wing twitching seems involentary. It stopped only when a visitor came to the house and he allerted me to the visitor, when I let my friend in, he began to twitch his right wing again. I belive the bird to be about 2 years old. It was bought pretty much full grown and it's been a little less than a year since I inhareted him. Am I being over protective and worring about nothing? Should I watch him for a few days and look for improvement? I am kind of a new at being a bird mommy.
Thank you,
Alison

Conure with health problems

You are correct in thinking your bird needs help. Please make an appointment today with an avian vet. You do NOT want to take your bird to a regular vet. If you do not have an avian vet, you can look on our Find an Avian Vet page.

We have suggestions by other readers and also links at the top you can follow for your search.
