Conure's Leg

by Rosie

Yesterday, my fancy green cheek conure fell from her cage. When I went to check up on her, she couldn't step on her left leg. She has been dragging her leg ever since and she can place it down, but she hasn't been able to put any weight on it. There is no bleeding and her leg looks perfectly fine, with no change of color, so I am not sure what is wrong with her.

Conure injured leg

Birds have hollow bones, so it may have broken a bone. You need to Find an Avian Vet to examine your bird right away. Dr B can not help because he can't examine the bird or splint the leg. Your bird probably needs pain medicine too.
