I have a breeding pair of rainbow lorikeets and i have had them for 3 months, i noticed the female was starting to get a bolg down the bottom of her stomach, 2 weeks later i noticed her in the breeding box, i got a mirror and i lifted the lid of the box and in the mirror i could see a egg. 4 days later i checked with the mirror again and i saw 2 eggs. Since she has layed her 2 eggs, she keeps crying(well thats what it sounds like) but its constantly. Its been a week since she layed the second egg and she still has a bolg down the lower part of her stomach, does the stomach go down straight away after completing of laying the eggs??? or could there be more??? and the crying, i dont know why?????

Crying bird needs an avian vet
by: Tracie

You need to take your bird to see an avian vet in person. Dr B can not help, because he can not examine your bird.
