You go in immediately, take the chick out and dispose of the body. I don't even understand you asking this question. I cannot imagine why you have not already removed dead chick because it will make the other birds very sick. The body is rotting, must be smelling, so why are you wasting time asking people on the internet what to do?

One other suggestion, do not breed birds ever again until you understand what you are doing. This is horrible that you have left a dead chick in the nest and await an answer from someone on the internet. Stop breeding birds, find something else to do with your time, and do not kill anymore birds because you don't have a clue as to what you are doing.

Forgive my bluntness, but I feel all of the above is warranted. Learn what you are doing before you put innocent animals in danger. I'm stopping now, and will have to go and get the nasty smell out of my mind.
