death of bird
by: Linda

All birds have to be taken for exams with an Avian Vet at least once a year and more if sick or injured. If this bird was not taken to an Avian Vet regularly, then a physical problem was neglected and the bird died.

There is always a reason why a bird dies and sometimes it's as simple as the bird is sick and trying not to show it until it is so sick it just falls over dead. Birds who eat all seed diets all their lives have liver and kidney problems that without medical help will kill them.

All parrots need to be eating organic high quality pellets like Harrison's to get them healthy and keep them healthy. All seed diets are slow starvation for birds, and they either die from liver disease, kidney failure or just because they've never been healthy and robust anytime in their lives.

Bird found dead didn't seem sick
by: Tracie

Birds often hide illness, this is why it is suggested that they see an avian vet for yearly visits.

The only way to know what happened is for your friend to Find an Avian Vet to do a necropsy to determine the cause of death.

It is possible that something toxic was either ingested or breathed. There are many toxic items in our homes that can kill birds.
