My dove laid an unfertilized egg. Now what do I do? she sits on it most of the day and night.

Unfertilized egg

Leave the egg in the cage until she gets bored sitting on it. Then you can take it out. If you just take it out she will just keep on laying them, and get calcium deficiency. Just to be careful, get some calcium enriched grit and add it to her food. If you leave her with the egg she will probably stop laying after that one.

take the egg out of the cage. she will not mind but you need to take it out. it will become rotten and infect your dove if it is not removed soon.

Editor's note: It is best to replace the egg with a fake egg so she doesn't keep laying eggs.
