drowning

hello my budgerigar (6months old) almost drowned. i saw and saved her in seconds, she looks fine now but i am pretty sure she aspirated some water. do they get aspiration pneumonia? what am i supposed to do? i wouldnt be asking this (on here) if we had a vet in town, so i would be grateful if you could answer.

Bird almost drowned

Please find a good bird breeder in your area, if you do not have an avian vet you can call, to ask how they handle infections. We can't prescribe or recommend anything over the Internet and we have no clue what is available there.

You can use this Find an Avian Vet link to find an avian vet to at least call. Otherwise find a person that breeds birds because they will have had experience with sick birds.
