Can birds eat too much apple
by: The Avian Vet

No but treats should not be more than 20% of the diet. 80% of the diet should be pellets like Harrison's. Be sure not to allow him to eat the seeds. They are toxic (contain cyanide).

Yes, they can eat too much apple and become sick. Feed very little apple as it is a fruit that will upset bird's stomach. Feed very little fruit of any kind. Feed organic high quality pellets and only 10-15% fruit and veggies which means small amounts a few times a week. If your bird is sick, you'll have to take it to an Avian Vet.
