hi is it safe to use a fake store bought tree for perching if you remove the leaves ?

No, it is NOT safe. You can find manzanita trees at bird shows, internet stores or some pet stores who also carry bird items. You can do a search on Manzanita Trees on the internet and see what comes up.

Your bird has to be on a safe wood tree because the fake trees are made from items that are toxic to birds and will kill your bird if ingested. All parts of a fake tree are poison for birds and children.

No. Your bird may chew it.

If you can use natural perches, branches & trees (safe one). Google for a list of safe & toxic plants. Leave the foliage on, your ekkie will enjoy that.
