Random Egg too
by: Carolyn

Peach Front Conure, laid an egg randomly overnight too. We've had
him/her for 13 or so years, thought it was a boy until now. I'm concerned because she is now hovering over a toy fluffed up. Does she think the toy is her mate?

Editor's note: Sitting fluffed is a sign of being egg bound. Find an Avian Vet Also, if you want people to see and answer, you need to post a question, not an answer here to another question, at Parrot Questions

egg laying

Throw the eggs away and have your bird examined by an Avian Vet to make sure she is healthy and not harboring any infections or other physical issues. Also, do not give any hormones because egg laying is normal and needs to be discouraged as much as is possible. You can find "fake" eggs for your bird's size on the internet, and the real eggs can be replaced with the fake ones so bird does not think she should lay more real eggs. - the Egg Shop Solid Plastic Fake Bird Eggs
