Escaped parrot returned, now sleepy

I have a one year old cockatiel. He flew away 4 and a half days ago and yesterday after putting posters up someone managed to catch him. Hes been back for 21 hours now, eaten only a little, but very tired and slept all of the time except to have a drink or a sunflower seed. He seems very sad looking and can hardly keep his eyes open. I know he must be tired and i cant physically see and marks on him to determine if hes been hurt, but i feel very sad as he is not responding much to us just very sleepy, please advise
