excess urinating.

my female cocatiel urinates heaps, she is otherwise healthy,friendly and spends time with me outside the cage, she is 2yrs old..any ideas??

excess urinating not possible with birds

I am not sure what you mean, because birds don't urinate, their urine is mixed with solids and are combined in their droppings. They can't urinate now and poop later, in other words. If your bird has watery droppings, then it is either ill or you are giving the bird fresh fruits or vegetables that are full of water.

If this is something new, then you must make an appointment right away with an avian vet. If you just notice watery droppings after feeding your bird fresh fruit or veggies, and their droppings are normal after pellets, then that is your answer.
