Feather loss

Hi, My pet budgie is loosing her feathers and her skin is all red and itchy. Her feet are also itchy and dry. We spray her with bird mite and lice spray but it doesn't seem to be working. What should i do? From clare.

 Itchy bird with feather loss

Dr B has addressed this before, and he suggests that you take your bird to an avian vet for an exam and treatment.

Stop all the over the counter sprays, they often cause more problems and make it hard for the vet to determine what the original problem was.

Please make an appointment soon so your bird can get some relief and get well.
