feathers come out when preening

My suncoure cleans herself frequently (3e-5 times a day). and every time she does she loses about 5 feathers, some flight and other ones are just little. fi s this normal ?

How long has she been doing it?
Is it causing "bald" spots?
Bird go through a phase of loosing old feathers that are replaced by the new ones looking like little straws tilll they finish growing.
A few feathers a day can mean many things but it can be normal as well.
I have 2 Congo African greys, 2 sun conours and 12 cocktiels if I do not see feathers at the bottom of the cage I worry LOL.

I can't tell, because I am not there, but it sounds like the bird may be starting feather damaging behavior. This can be a nervous habit or an illness. If you start to notice bare spots or places that just have down feathers, then please Find an Avian Vet for your bird.
