How long has she been doing it?
Is it causing "bald" spots?
Bird go through a phase of loosing old feathers that are replaced by the new ones looking like little straws tilll they finish growing.
A few feathers a day can mean many things but it can be normal as well.
I have 2 Congo African greys, 2 sun conours and 12 cocktiels if I do not see feathers at the bottom of the cage I worry LOL.
Read lots, learn lots and above all keep loving your baby.

I can't tell, because I am not there, but it sounds like the bird may be starting feather damaging behavior. This can be a nervous habit or an illness. If you start to notice bare spots or places that just have down feathers, then please Find an Avian Vet for your bird.

Here is our
Feather Damaging Behavior article that was written by an avian vet, in case you think this might be what is happening.
