The instructions for how to feed Harrisons is on the bag it comes in. What we do is buy 5lbs of Harrisons regular and pepper plus another organic food they like and mix these at mealtimes. If you mix your food up at mealtime instead of pouring stuff together, you'll get a better ratio. Harrisons is the main diet, so anything else is fed in lesser quantity for each meal. Harrisons has instructions on bag and the other mix you're using probably does too.

If your bird is leaving any of the Harrisons, then you need to cut back on the fruit and veggie mix because Harrisons is what bird needs above all else. We use the other organic mix as treat food though they do get it at mealtime everyday which is afternoon, and they get no more until the next afternoon, so a 24 hour period. This ensures they will eat everything, especially the Harrisons. If you feed twice a day, you are probably feeding your bird too much.

You also don't want bird too fat, so make sure he's eating everything at each meal and that he's getting enough Harrisons. Once a day feeding according to directions on Harrisons' bag is plenty for him. Also give no other treats outside of his diet of pellets since the fruit and veggie is in the other mix. No fatty food and no human food at all. If you are still confused, contact Harrisons via email and ask for info on how much to feed your particular bird per day because all birds have different needs depending on age, activity level and so on.
