fertility of birds

I am from mumbai i have two pairs of mating birds, the first time it laid a set of eggs of 5 all hatched the second time when both the pair laid egg only two hatched and the rest it only threw it from the respective nest box and pot. what is the reason is it because of infertility. If yes then what should I feed it?
