finch chirping and possible seizure

Hello I just rescued a finch about a week ago. I bought him a flight cage. I've never owned a pet before so I don't know anything about them. Anyway my question is. Is it normal for a zebra finch to start chirping crazy for a few seconds sometimes loosing his balance and then start moving his head back and forth seizure like. And he's puts his head down to his right side closes his eyes and chirps or cries I don't really know. Or is all this sign of old age?

You can use this Find an Avian Vet link to see if you can find an avian vet near you. If you can't find an avian vet, look in your paper and see if you can find a breeder that uses an avian vet to help you.

A quality bird breeder will have experience with illness and know the signs of when a bird needs an avian vet and how to care for your bird. Don't trust a breeder that doesn't take their birds to a vet, that means they don't care about the birds they are just in it for the money. They don't care if the bird dies once it is sold, just get the sucker sold before it dies.

Oh, I am not a finch expert, but I think they need other finches to live with. Not sure how you do that, since you found the bird. You have to make sure they get along etc. Usually, I think, you buy a few of them already living together. Ask the breeder about this also.
