Fisher Parrot hen does not sit on eggs
by: Linda

The eggs may be infertile which means the hen does not want to sit on them.

The other issue could be one or both birds are either too young or are sick. Before beginning any breeding, both birds have to be examined for infections or other physical issues because sick birds don't breed, and if they do, they produce sickly young who don't last long. Only an Avian Vet can treat birds, so you'll have to find one in your area.

Diet is also important for breeders, and this has to be organic pellets for 80-85% of the diet. Ask the Avian Vet where you can find some organic pellets. Harrisions is the best and carried here, but not sure if you can get them into your country. You can ask Tracie about that.

Here is article about how to go about changing from a poor diet to a healthy one written by an Avian Vet:

Switching Birds To Pellets article

So, Avian Vet needs to check both birds for any physical problems, diet needs to be changed to a healthy diet, and birds need a breeding cage with the correct kind of nestbox. They also need full spectrum lighting daily which is provided with Over the cage full spectrum lighting. Full spectrum lights are only found in better pet stores who carry bird and reptile supplies and not in home improvement stores as their bulbs are just colored.
