This may be a normal molt for your part of the world. The first feathers to come out during a molt are usually the wing feathers. You should be able to see some new feather shafts coming out in a while to replace the older feathers. They look like little pins, and the feather is inside the shaft and comes out slowly.

If your bird has any other symptoms of illness like lack of appetite, and mucus from eyes, nose or digestive upsets which leaves poop on the vent area, then he/she needs to be seen by an Avian Vet in your area. Otherwise, this is probably a normal occurence.

We are in winter here in the US, and our birds have already shed their feathers and new ones have come in. However, our birds have recently lost some of the wing feathers which probably means they did not complete their molt before winter.

If your bird keeps losing feathers and no new ones are coming in, then it would be a good idea to take bird to Avian Vet. Sometimes birds pull out their feathers when they are bored or sick, so keep an eye on your bird.
