pronutro is not suitable for a baby lorikeet, or any baby bird for that matter. To rear the bird properly please buy proper lorikeet rearing mix. If you feed incorrect rearing formulas to baby birds they end up very sick, dying or stunted with life long illnesses. I am sorry I didn't read the bird was only 3 weeks old in my last post (only as a treat). That post is only meant for adult birds. Pronutro is a cereal for humans, not rearing formula for birds.

It should be OK only as a treat. Please beware it does contain very large amounts of supplemented vitamins & minerals. So if your lorikeet is already on the correct diet for it's species bird you shouldn't offer Pronutro too often.

food - pronutro

I assume this is a baby parrot handfeeding formula for feeding with a syringe because a 3 week old Conure is no where close to weaning.

I'm not familiar with this brand of food, and I suggest you find an Avian Vet in your calling area and ask them about this food. A breeder may also be able to help you about it.

Thanks for writing,
Linda
