Alexandrine diet
by: Tracie

Dr B suggests 70/30 diet for parakeets. Your bird should eat 70% quality pellets, like Harrison's or Roudybush, and 30% healthy treats.

If you want to feed your bird the cockatiel mix as part of his 30% treat, that is fine. Just look at the amount of pellets you are feeding, and make sure you are not feeding much less treats than pellets.
