foot curled under

My older canary has a foot that has turned under otherwise he seems fine, eats, chirps etc. The expense of taking him to the vet worries me since we just paid $130 for some meds for him. Any help??

What are the medications? Why did you take him to see the veterinarian? Was the foot normal before the visit? What does your bird eat? Does his nails need trimming? What kind of perches are in his cage?
