Found lump on Quakers lower part of the chest

This morning I found a lump on my Quakers lower part of the chest. Last week we trimmed out Quakers nails and the lump was not there. This lump is below the chest around the anal area. It looks like its the size of an egg. When we rescued the bird they told us it was a male. He is in his own cage. I have an appointment for tomorrow morning but I'm scared because we lost a bird this morning of old age. Can you help?

I am sorry you are experiencing this situation. Dr B can not tell if this is a tumor or an infection without a physical examination. Please take your bird to an avian vet to determine what is wrong and what the potential treatment should be.

If you do not have an avian vet, then you can use this Find an Avian Vet to look for one.
