Galah and Budgie: Can they mate?

hi, i have a female australian galah and a male budgie. Whats the chance of them mating? we have put hollow logs for them in their cage. ive heard of a major mitchell and a galah mating but is it possible for a galah and budgie? thanks. :)

Sorry anonamous, I didnt 'want' them to mate I just wanted to know if the could. I love my birds and all animals for that fact and I wouldnt do ANYTHING to hurt them. So please dont become rude, I was just asking.

thanks for that. It is a pretty big cage, 2 metres long and a metre wide with plenty of toys, branches and stuff to play with.is that okay?

I don't understand why you would try to get these two DIFFERENT species to mate anyway.

this is one reason why birds in captivity develop so many health problems because of people doing this type of thing, trying to get different mutations.

Galah and budgie sharing cage

No, they can not reproduce, but the galah may kill the budgie one day. Unless you have a huge aviary these birds should not share a cage from what I understand.
