gender or parakeet

I have had my parakeet for 5 months, there is some blue on the nose but it is mostly pink. Everyone tells me that if the nose hasn't turned by now then it is a female but I am not sure. The blue is around the nostrils but the rest of the nose is pink and slightly brown nearest to the beak.

Young male budgies have purplish ceres, and the hens have bluish ceres. As they mature, the males cere turns blue, and the hen's turns a light tan to a darker brown when she is in good breeding condition.

Good breeding condition is a matter of being a healthy bird who is eating organic pellets, has a cage large enough to get in some flying time, and is checked at least once a year by an Avian Vet to make sure birds' are kept healthy.

Umm well it could be either actually. I had a budgie with a half blue half pink cere sometimes it looked brown by the nares (nostrils)veering towards a girl but then I found out it was a boy just like his Father.
It is a hereditary thing.
