Star Bird Get A Grip Nets for Birds

Get a Grip

"Perhaps the most original and important contribution towards enrichment..." Dr. Stewart Metz

The StarBird Get a Grip™ nets provides a climbing and playing environment that most emulates a natural forest or jungle. Made of untreated Abaca*, this climbing grid can be hung or draped and it's configuration changed as often as you like. Get a Grip nets are versatile and allow lots of creativity.

Your bird can climb, play, go in and out of the spaces and create their own games on the Get a Grip nets., all the while exercising their body and mind, with the grid providing secure footing.

With your imagination, the applications for fun and exercise with the Get a Grip™ nets are endless. And handicapped birds really love them!

The StarBird Get A Grip™ nets are a hand made product and the length of the fuzzy preening knots may vary. Please clip these fuzzy preening strands to your desired length if they should be too long for your bird to play with them safely, a safe length on the Get a Grip nets should be approximately 2 inches.

Because they are hand made, the large nets may have a delay in shipping times. All sizes of nets have become so popular now, that often we are sold out before the ones out of stock come in.

What is Abaca Rope?

What is Abaca Rope? What is its scientific name? How would you describe this material? Abaca is the fiber from the leaf-stem of the plant musa textilis, native to the Philippines. It is closely related to and resembles the common, cultivated, banana plant (musa sapientum).

What are the enemies of Abaca Rope? Acids and their fumes, alkalis, oils, paints and barn-yard mud are injurious to vegetables fibers and will quickly damage rope. Protect it from these agents whenever possible and remember that clean, dry rope is the best assurance of long rope life.
