Thank you for your response. When I got the parrot the little bird was in there they have shared the same cage ever since the parrot was born i was told when I bought the parrot. My mother wants the little bird but on the same note I don't want my parrot to act out because I got rid of her buddy. I want to work with my parrot but with the other bird around thats all she is worried about.

Buy a cage for one of them and put it in there is all you have to do. Never put two birds of such different sizes together because it usually ends in the smaller bird being killed.

Also make sure both cages are adequate sizes. Cages should be 2-3 times larger than what manufacturer recommends. Birds need to be able to fully stretch wings out to the sides and flap without hitting anything in cage. If your cages are not large enough for this, they are too small.

Thanks for writing,
Linda
