My green cheek conure constantly looks like he is choking or gagging. Why does he do this?

How old is the bird, Young birds do that from time to time. But no speculating, I would do a vet asap. If it's nothing at least you can rest on that. Is he/she eating? Drinking water? My Quaker does this attention thing with his right foot and noisy, its always when Daddy is on the pc, or just ignoring the lil sucker. But he knows how to get the attention. BTW he always wins, shutting down now and it's play time.

Conure choking?

If the bird really does this "all the time" then you need to take the bird to an avian vet right away. It may have a growth, infection or any number of things causing this.

If your bird does this occasionally it could simply be regurgitating, and that is normal.

If you need an avian vet, then please use this Find an Avian Vet link to find one for your bird.
