Green cheek conure constantly chirps

by Lila
(Australia)

My 11 week old green cheek constantly chirps, even when she is falling asleep. When I got her the first day she was quiet as a mouse however now she won't stop. She flits her wings at the same time too. I have been feeding her so it's not hunger. Can anyone help me stop her incessant chirping?!

Thanks
by: Lila

Hi ladies,
Thanks for the comments! I have monitored her over the past couple of days and she has settled down a lot! I think perhaps she was missing her brothers and was just settling in. My husband adores her and even though I have been the one looking after her for a week, he came home from a business trip and she bonded straight to him. Looks like we have one happy lil conure now :)

About your conure
by: Jemma

My older conure tilo (im not sure how old she is because she has had to owners before me) cuddles up under my neck or in my hair an rubs her head along my chin or cheek an makes a weird noise an flaps or flicker her wings. And whenever I pet her from her head down to the tail she makes the noise an flap/flickers her wing.
Also i might add she is very loud and jeaslous an just has to make constant noise, If yours does anything like this it must be a conure thing?

Bird constantly chirping

You need to Find an Avian Vet to examine your bird, to make sure it is healthy. It could be trying to communicate to you that it hurts or has something internally bothering it.
