Green Cheeked Conure stopped talking

by Barbara
(Penacook, NH USA)

Why did my Green Cheeked conure all of a sudden stop talking. He has been talking for three years. Eating drinking pooping normally. Playing. No changes in home life food or anything else?

This type of thing usually points to an infection or other physical issue, so please take him to be examined by an Avian Vet ONLY in your area. Find an Avian Vet

Anytime we see sudden changes in behavior, it usually means illness or injury. Infections and other physical problems don't come on all at once but gradually get worse over time. Now is the time to catch whatever this is before it brings your bird down.
