Grey spots on mouth

Hi, I have a 7 month old senegal parrot, boy. I noticed that on edges of his skin between the beaks there are now dark grey spots. I would like to know if these are something like birth marks or something serious.

This could be nutritional issues. Be sure to feed a pellet diet, Harrison's is the best. It could be more serious, too. You should have your bird examined by an avian veterinarian. Birds need to be seen annually for check ups and vaccines.

Hi, and this is something an Avian Vet will have to look at before anyone can know what this is. It can be an infection or a parasite or some sign of toxicity, allergy, and you won't know until bird is checked out out in person by an Avian Vet in your driving area.

There is a link on this site for help in finding Avian Vet if you do not know where one is and be willing to drive a ways to get to one. Find an Avian Vet Having birds means having Avian Vet for them. Never take your bird to a regular dog and cat vet because they are not licensed or trained in the diagnosis and treatment of birds and will either do nothing and charge you a lot for it, or kill your bird and charge you even more for it.
