Housing two different Birds together

No, you cannot do this. Never put a larger and smaller bird together and never put different species together as a good general rule. The parrotlet needs his own roomy cage, and the Cockie needs his own roomy cage. If you have playtops on cages, they can come out together to play once they get to know one another. All parrots do not like all other parrots, so be ready to be right there when they are both out of cage to prevent any injuries to either bird.

Houseing a cockatiel and parrotlet

It is not normally a good idea to house two different species together, especially a large bird with an aggressive small species like a parrotlet. Even if you had two parrotlets, you could not just put them in a cage together and expect them to get along. The birds have to choose to be together.
