Age and gender of Quaker Parrot
by: Tracie

There is not a way to tell the age or gender of a parrot visually. You CAN find out the gender by taking the bird to an avian vet and having a DNA test done.

The pin feathers on the neck just indicate that the bird is molting. If this is your first parrot, then I suggest you do a lot of research on keeping pet Quaker parrots so you can properly care for the bird. There is a ton of information on the Internet, and we also sell books on caring for birds here.
